The Regmi family

Govinda Regmi was sick for a long time and so was unable to provide the family with any income. They own a small parcel of land on which they grow rice and vegetables for their own consumption. Their house was completely destroyed in the earthquake. When we first visited, they were living in a barn.

In 2015, we began the process of constructing an emergency shelter for the family. However, they still partly live above the barn. Our goal is to provide them with a new house. The Tara Namaste Foundation also supports the two children.
