Family Kusum Karki

Kusum Karki lives with her three children Jeesam (20), Jenissa (16) and Gunjan (13) in a tenement house on the banks of the Trisuli River. Her husband left the family a long time ago. She has a skin allergy and can hardly leave the house. It is therefore impossible for her to work outside. Her son had left school and worked in a grill store to provide for the family.

Tara Namaste supports the family so that Gunjan can finish his schooling. This will be the case in spring 2023. After that, he will be asked if he wants to continue studying or go back to work. He has more interest to resume his work in the grill store and the mother would like to open a small restaurant to make a living. We will provide start-up assistance.
