Mother Sita Shrestha with her three sons:
- Sabin Shrestha, 16 years old, in 11th grade
- Nabin Shrestha, 14 years old, in 7th grade
- Asbin Shrestha, 12 years old, in 6th grade
Situation:
Sita Shrestha’s husband and the father of the family has gone missing. The mother owns a small parcel of land and has rented an additional piece of land in order to grow vegetables and rice. Her house was completely destroyed during the earthquake. When we first visited, the family was living in a barn.
Tara Namaste’s objectives:
In 2015, we began the process of constructing a more suitable emergency shelter for the family. At the end of 2018, Sita Shrestha and her three sons were able to move into their new home, which was financed by the Tara Namaste Foundation. Moreover, we’re supporting each of the three children.
